Singer and actress and writer Jana Kramer rose to fame on television where she joined the cast in One Tree Hill as Alex during its last three seasons. Jana Kramer's first country releases were featured on episodes of One Tree Hill which helped propel her debut album from 2012 to in the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. Thirty One (2015), the follow-up album in 2015, was also among into the Top Ten. She finished out the decade with appearances in Dancing with the Stars and in several TV movies alongside a series of non-album singles. In 2021, The Self-Doubting Voices was released. Jana Rae Kramer, born in Rochester Hills Michigan and raised there, grew to love country music. Later she would pursue the career of a recording artist. Her debut professional appearance was as an actress in the horror film indie Dead/Undead in 2002 when still just a teen. Following a couple of guest appearances on All My Children or CSI: NY, Kramer landed Noelle Davenport's role as a regular on NBC Friday Night Lights in the show's 2nd season 2007-2008. Kramer appeared in the role of Portia Ranson in 90210 from 2008 to 2009 and Brooke Manning on Entourage 2009 before being cast on the show on the CW's One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre in 2009. She continued to appear until the series' final season in 2012. Jana Kramer Kramer, during her tenure as Alex Dupre, on One Tree Hill signed with Elektra Records. She debuted modern country track I Won't Let Go in the 2011 One Tree Hill episode. In mid-2012, the track was featured on her first entire album Jana Kramer. The song reached into the Top Five on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. Focusing on her music career following that, and not resigning from acting Kramer appeared in movies like Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would be popular with her fan base. Kramer's second album Thirty One, was released by Warner Music Nashville by Kramer in the month of October 2015. Thanks to The Top Five country hit I Got the Boy as well as a duet together with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it did even better, reaching the top spot of three on the country album chart as well as number ten in the Billboard 200. Starting in September 2016 she stayed for two months on the season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, which ended with an overall fourth-place finish. In the same year, it was Feels Like Christmas featuring Straight No Chaser, was hugely popular among adults.
