Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American performer and actress. Her first release was humorous, cleverly written music that tackled questions of racial identity and sexuality. She then expanded her fans to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical encounter. She performed on the trumpet. She also received the classical and jazz education later becoming a hip-hop teenager. When she was in high the school, she focused on journalism and woman's studies. She studied Mandarin briefly in Beijing. She turned her attention towards music after she finished her studies. After becoming famous through the Internet, her My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hits like the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. Alongside having a book published, her other career was singing. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors as well as Storks. She had a breakthrough role in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP,"In Fina We Trust in June of that year.
